Football body reports installations for 2016 Beach Soccer AFCON

The installations for the second Beach Soccer Africa Cup of Nations, "Nigeria 2016'', have been discharged with 14 groups doing combating for the seven spots for the last competition.

This is contained in an announcement on the Website of the African Football Confederation (CAF) on Monday.

The groups in dispute are Cape Verde, Cote d'Ivoire, Ghana, Egypt, Liberia, Libya, Kenya, Madagascar, Morocco, Mozambique, Senegal, Sudan, Tanzania and Uganda.

The installations pit Senegal against Cape Verde, Uganda versus Egypt, Liberia versus Morocco, Tanzania versus Cote D'Ivoire and Kenya versus Ghana, Mozambique versus Madagascar and Libya versus Sudan.

All the qualifying matches would be played between Aug. 26 and Sept. 18.

There will be one and only round of qualifiers where seven groups will develop to join has Nigeria for the last competition booked to hold from Dec. 13 to Dec. 18.

The finalists at the mainland title will qualify to speak to Africa at the FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup from April 27 to May 7, 2017 in the Bahamas.


Madagascar was delegated champions for the 2015 version having beat Senegal 2-1 on punishments in the last in Seychelles.
